Our Story

International Reserve Smart Bank was established in 1924 by a group of merchants and industrialists who believed that access to reliable, transparent banking should not be a privilege reserved for the few. From our first branch in the financial district, we set out to build an institution defined by integrity, prudence, and genuine service.

Over the decades we have navigated economic cycles, technological revolutions, and shifting regulatory landscapes — always emerging stronger and more committed to our clients. Today, with operations spanning 28 countries and assets under management exceeding $42 billion, we remain privately held and fiercely independent.

Our independence is not incidental — it is a deliberate choice that allows us to prioritise long-term client relationships over short-term shareholder returns. Every decision we make is measured against a single question: does this serve our clients well?
